Through our regular communication with regulatory bodies, such as NERC, and industry working groups, such as TRUC, Mehta Tech continues to anticipate customer needs. Many of our units installed since the turn of the century are still in operation, meeting and exceeding regulatory standards that are just now being implemented. “The Modernization of Standards Processes and Procedures Task Force (MSPPTF) has completed its strategic review of NERC’s Reliability Standards development process. The task force will present its recommendations to the NERC Board for consideration on February 12, 2026.
The February Update highlights the posting of the Final Recommendations document for transforming NERC’s Reliability Standards framework. It also provides links to a separate summary of the recommendations and process maps.
As a reminder, the Board invites stakeholders to submit comments by close of business Eastern on February 5, 2026. Comments, which will be taken into consideration during the Board’s decision-making process, should be submitted to mspp@nerc.net.
As part of its commitment to ensure industry and stakeholders are kept informed, important MSPPTF materials are posted on a dedicated MSPPTF web page under the initiatives tab on the NERC website.”
